Ingredients

For the Burger

» 200–250 g ground beef

» Salt & black pepper

» 1 egg

» 2 slices of cheddar cheese

» 1 burger bun

» Lettuce leaves

» Tomato slices

» Caramelized onions (optional but highly recommended)

» Oil or butter for frying

For the Sauce

» 1 tbsp mayonnaise

» 1 tbsp ketchup

» A few drops of Tabasco

» ½ tsp honey

» ½ tsp dried garlic

For the Potato Wedges

» 2–3 potatoes

» 1 tbsp olive oil

» ½ tsp dried dill

» ½ tsp garlic powder

» ½ tsp onion powder

» ½ tsp paprika

» Salt & pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Potato Wedges

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Wash the potatoes and cut them into wedges.

Place them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.

Add dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Toss until all the wedges are coated evenly.

Arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

2. Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, Tabasco, honey, and dried garlic.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Set aside.

3. Cook the Burger Patty

Form a ball of ground beef and flatten it into a patty.

With your thumb, press a small well in the center—this helps hold the egg later.

Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat a pan with a little oil and fry the patty on one side until nicely browned.

Flip the patty, then carefully crack an egg directly into the center well.

Immediately place two slices of cheddar on top.

Cover the pan with a lid to help the cheese melt and the egg cook.

Cook for 4–5 minutes, until the egg white is set but the yolk remains soft.

4. Prepare the Bun

Slice the burger bun in half.

Toast it on a dry pan until lightly golden. This adds flavor and prevents sogginess.

5. Assemble the Burger

Spread a layer of sauce on the bottom bun.

Add lettuce and fresh tomato slices.

Place the egg-filled cheddar burger patty on top.

Add caramelized onions for extra sweetness and depth of flavor.

Spread a little more sauce on the top bun and close the burger.

6. Serve

Serve the burger hot with the crispy potato wedges on the side.
Enjoy the creamy yolk, melted cheddar, juicy beef, and crunchy fries—pure comfort food!
